For over 18 years now Mike & Light Ministries have partnered with indigenous ministries in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. To date, over 75 churches/preaching stations have been planted.
Over 100 orphans are cared for daily by gifts provided through partners of Light Ministries. 1,750 street children receive two hot meals daily as well as basic education and spiritual training under the Light Ministries umbrella.
Each year Mike & Teresa, assisted by guest ministry teams train pastors and their wives as well as our volunteer staff in our feeding stations, schools and orphanages.
Girls and boys are available for sponsorship. To support and existing orphan costs $90-$120 per month. To sponsor a “new” orphan there is a one time “start-up” fee of $150 (to purchase bedding, clothing and initial medical evaluation/treatment).
It costs $350 per month to provide the salary for a pastor and his family in Kenya. This provides their food, clothing and rent for housing. These are our “front line” warriors. This support is vital to the stability of our ministry in Africa.
We spend $11,500 per month at our six feeding stations/schools. This provides two hot meals and pre-school/kindergarten training for over 1,750 street children. As God provide more resources, we will feed and educate more children.
